ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

1) The department is running MD residency course in Pathology under the faculty of Basic Science & Para Clinical Science of BSMMU since’2015. The teaching staffs of the department are actively involved in teaching (theory & practical) and conducting examinations of the students. At present 18 students are studying in different phases of the MD Path. course.

2) The department is also involved in teaching the pathology part of the MD residency and diploma courses of other subjects.

 

RESEARCH PROJECTS IN THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2021-22

Four students of MD (phase-B) Pathology course are running thesis works as mentioned below :

1)   “Immunohistochemical Expression of CD 34 In Hepatocellular Carcinoma and Nonmalignant Hepatic Nodules” (by Dr. Mun Mun Akter).

2)   “Role of Verhoeff’s Stain in Detecting Venous Invasion In Colorectal Cancer” (by Dr. Dilshad).

3)   “Immunohistochemical Expression of P16 in Colorectal Carcinoma and Its Correlation with Different Prognostic Factors” (by Dr. Zarin).

4)   “Immunohistochemical Expression of Cyclin D1 in Renal Cell Carcinoma and Its Correlation with Prognostic Factors” (by Dr. Bilkis Akter).
