Formal Course (Regular)

  1. Epidemiology and Biostatistics department is organized and taken the class for MD, MS, MPhil students of ‘Research Methodology and Biostatistics’  under Academy of BIRDEM.
  2. Epidemiology and Biostatistics department has been organized an online post graduation certificate course on ‘Research Methodology’ under BIRDEM Academy since 2021. It is four months online course and we have already completed two session from July’2021 to June’2022. Thirty six participants have been successfully completed the course and the total participants were forty two.

Academic Study (Regular Work)

  1. Guiding the Post-Graduate students (MSc, MPhil, MS, MD, FCPS) for study design, sample size calculation, statistical analysis and designing of write up the project proposal and thesis.

  1. Dr. Md. Mehedi Hasan student of MD in Internal Medicine. Titled: Correlation between disease severity & inflammatory biomarkers in hospital admitted patients with COVID-19.
  2. Dr. Khadiza Akter student of MD in Obs & Gynae. Titled: Ultrasound diagnosis of adenomyosis, leiomyoma or combined with histopathological correlation.
  3. Dr. Farhana Rahman student of MD in Pathology. Titled: A study on Histomorphological Changes in Placenta in Toxemia of Pregnancy and its Correlation with the Outcome of Pregnancy.
  4. Dr. Lamia Tasnuva student of MD in Pathology. Titled: Distribution of Most Cells in Colonic Mucosa and its Correlation with Histopathological and Colonoscopic Findings in Different Types of Colitis.
  5. Dr. Adeeba Khandoker in Microbiology. Titled: Study of Microbial Burden in High Risk Areas of Three Hospital in Dhaka City.
