Service provided: Department of Dermatology has modern treatment facilities for various skin problems. It includes consultation for skin problems of Diabetic and non-diabetic patients, Dermato-surgery, Cryosurgery, and I/L injection of Trimcinolone into different skin problems.

B.  Academic Activities:

• Dermatology Department is running a post-graduate course- Diploma in Dermatology & Venereology (DDV) since 2004 under BSMMU.
• Under Graduate students of Ibrahim Medical College and Post-graduate resident Students are also placed in the skin department for their clinical dermatology classes.
• The department has its own regular clinical meeting every Sunday morning.
• Also participate BIRDEM CME program on Tuesday and Thursday by rotation.
• Research works also running for DDV/FCPS students to confine their degree.

C.   Lecture: Regular schedule lecture for the undergraduate students of Ibrahim Medical College. And

       regularly scheduled lectures for the Resident students of different Courses of BIRDEM.

D.   Ongoing Clinical research on:

      1. To detect the internal cause of Urticaria

      2. To find out the organism causing secondary bacterial infection in Candidial Intertrigo.
