Services Provided by Respiratory Medicine

  • Patient care – Indoor, 24 hours a day
  • OPD – Four times weekly(Pulmonology OPD and Asthma COPD clinic - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday)
  • Procedures- Fiber-optic bronchoscopy,pleural fluid aspiration, spirometry 
  • Sleep study with the logistic support from ICHRI
  • Daily referrals- Every day around 10 referrals are given to pulmonologist from different departments or units in BIRDEM, BIRDEM-2 and ICHRI

Number of admitted patients in the financial year 2022-2023 : approximately 2380

Social Services: Voluntary expertise services are given to the patients in the affiliated branches of Bangladesh Diabetic Association all over the country.
